Take a much closer look at songbirds! We will be banding birds and monitoring the populations of songbirds that nest and travel through Sugarloaf Cove and adding to the growing research on North Shore birds. Stop in to learn more about the banding process and its importance in understanding the lifespan, movement, and productivity of songbirds.

If it is rainy, banding will be cancelled.  Donations gladly accepted.

Gunflint Trail outfitters want to introduce families and anyone interested to the adventurous joys of canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

Consider this an opportunity to “wet your paddle” and try out canoeing at no cost! You may visit the Outfitter during their selected hour of the program, but please call ahead to let them know you are coming. Reserve at numbers below.
