Marie Westerman is a fiber artist who does pictorial weaving. Jill Ewald is an artist who works with many mediums including oil paint, graphite, conte crayon, encaustic and charcoal, and recently, thread.

Johnson Heritage Post is open Monday through Saturday from 10 – 4 (closed Tuesdays) and Sunday 1 – 4.

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park | Two Harbors MN

Celebrating 50 years! Split Rock Lighthouse State Park illustrates the unique history of the human struggle for survival on the North Shore. The rugged landscape saw the footprints of Native Americans, voyageurs, lumberjacks, miners, commercial fishermen and lighthouse keepers.

Come stroll along the candle lit path from the Trail Center to Ellingsen Island. Stop and listen to the numerous stories told about the amazing men and women who lived along Split Rock?s coast by park naturalists. Celebrate the anniversary of the beacon lighting and enjoy it in all its glory. Camera, bug spray and flashlight recommended on this half mile walk. Meet at the Trail Center. In the event of severe weather the event may be cancelled.
