Mtn & Devil Track River part of the Superior Hiking Trail LOCATION From Hwy 61 in Grand Marais, go north on the Gunflint Trail (co. Rd. 12) about 2 miles to Co. Rd. 53, then east on Co. Rd. 53 to the scenic overlook and parking TRAILHEAD at the overlook parking at the cross-country ski trailhead LENGTH 4.8 miles for the Pincushion Loop 4.8 miles one-wat to Co. Rd. 58 LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY moderate HIGHLIGHTS lots of easy loops and spurs - up both sides of the river and along the lake shore; popular Lookout Mountain hike with steep direct approach (2.25 miles total) or wind around and up and tkae the direct route back doan (4 miles) AMENITIES outhouse MAPS trails are marked map of Pincushion XC Ski Trails - shows the Pincushion Loop |
