
The Lodge-to-Lodge
Hiking Program offers hikers packages with lodging, transportation,
and some meals. Hikers get the full experience of exploring the northwoods
and Lake Superior while also enjoying all the amenities and comforts
of a resort. After a full day of hiking, you will find dinner ready
and your luggage waiting. Resorts that participate in this program
extend from Little Marais to north of Grand Marais.

Hiking Checklist
*Obtain a map & familiarize yourself with the trail
*Allow an hour for each two to three miles of trail
*Let someone know your route and expected return time
*Carry water, high-energy snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent,
a flashlight and raingear
*Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots
*Always pack out what you bring in - dispose of trash responsibly
*Trails cross private, county, state and federal lands - please respect this
*Consider bringing binoculars and a camera
*Use common sense |
