Public Campgrounds State Parks *To ensure a campsite, reservations can be made by calling 866-85-PARKS (72757) 7am-10pm daily or 24/7 online. A nonrefundable reservation fee of $8.50/reservation is charged. Rd. 5 for .25 mile 39 sites, boat launch, outhouses and drinking water Superior National Forest Although you may make camp anywhere in the Superior National Forest, they maintain a number of designated campgrounds. All have picnic tables, fishing, fire grates, toilets, are first come-first served, have drinking water (unless otherwise noted), are RV accessible (no hook-ups, though) and charge a fee of $15-$18 per night for a single site. Rustic campgrounds have picnic tables, outhouses & firegrates. They provide more solitude and you must bring your own drinking water and take your garbage out with you. No fees are charged The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) is a canoe-in wilderness park in the Superior National Forest and requires a BWCAW camping permit.
