Connects west to Sugarbush and Moose Fence and east to Lutsen/Poplar

Trail Description tracked & skating lanes
the more difficult 8.1K Oberg Trail is quite pretty, it starts with a climb and has hills throughout; a 4K skating trail is the continuation of FR 336 north of parking; connector trails from the 2K trail into the Oberg Trail include a 2.6K ski to Lutsen Resort's Sea Villas or 7K trail to the golf course
Location & Directions From Hwy 61 in Grand Marais, drive north on the Gunflint Trail, County Road 12, about 2 miles to parking on the west side of the road


Superior National at Lutsen Ski Trails
Connects west to Leveaux and east to Massie/Hall Loops
Amenities the clubhouse has a fireplace, snacks and beverages, and houses other winter activities

Trail Description the golf course offers an easy ski through a windblown, 2K loop and hooks on to the 5K Homestead Trail, which crosses the Poplar River, the Lutsen Scientific & Natural Area of beautiful old growth trees before terminating on the Caribou Trail (County Road 4)

Trail Description 27K tracked & skating lane; ski summer's mountain bike trails along ridgelines and through challenging climbs and turns
Location & Directions From Hwy 61 in Lutsen, drive north on Ski Hill Rd to Lutsen Mountains


Solbakken Cascade Area
Connects west to Superior National at Lutsen and east to Cascade trails
Amenities chalet with shop, restrooms, Rosie's Cafe, rentals, Summit Chalet and gondola
Fees MN Ski Pass required

Level of Difficulty easy to more difficult
Trail Description tracked & skating lane
from the Caribou Trail ski all downhill for 1.8K and pick up a loop or ski the short way to Solbakken; north of the resort are 2 easy loops totaling 2.1K, which connect via a short ski to the easy loop, 2.3K Isak's Flats; just above the first loops, you pick up the two intermediate loops; Massie is a 5.4K loop with a 1K North Star Run descent that acts as junctions to the 5.2K Hall Loop, which intersects with an 8.5K connector to the Cascade trails
Location & Directions From Hwy 61 in Lutsen, drive north on Caribou Trail (County Road 4); or, at Solbakken Resort; or, off Hwy 61 just east of Solbakken, drive north on the Hall Rd (County Road 41)
