Split Rock History by Lantern Light
Split Rock History by Lantern Light

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park | Two Harbors MN

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park illustrates the unique history of the human struggle for survival on the Northshore. The rugged landscape saw the footprints of Native Americans, voyageurs, lumberjacks, miners, commercial fishermen and lighthouse keepers. Come stroll along the candle lit path from the Trail Center to Ellingsen Island. Stop and listen to the numerous stories told about the amazing men and women who lived along Split Rock’s coast by park naturalists. Celebrate the anniversary of the beacon lighting and enjoy it in all its glory. Camera, bug spray and flashlight recommended on this half mile walk. Meet at the Trail Center. In the event of severe weather the event may be cancelled.
