Regular, relaxing steams in a sauna is ingrained in the Finnish culture. Finns use saunas as a place to socialize with friends and neighbors and recharge with a mental and physical cleansing.
Larsmont Cottages is bringing the best of the Finnish “sauna lifestyle” to the North Shore of Lake Superior with Sauna Days. This spring event offers guests a unique and relaxing opportunity to learn about the benefits of the sauna, sample traditional Finnish food and drink, take a guided tour of area waterfalls and see a live, onsite recording of a “Sauna Times” podcast. Local musicians Beth & Les Hazelton and the band Woodblind are giving live performances.
Larsmont is offering a special two-night lodging package with exclusive access to the onsite events. Single day passes are also available for purchase for Saturday’s events.
The detailed schedule of Sauna Days is available at Larsmont Cottage’s website.
