Trail Description Ski the Grand Portage, the 8-mile (one way) trail leading from the shores of Lake Superior north trough the woods and up the mounts to the old Fort Charlotte; the trail is not maintained and requires you to remove your skis and cross Hwy 61; some folks just ski the section from the National Monument to Hwy 61 and back; Grand Portage State Park trails are not groomed, but are open for skiing and snowshoeing
Location & Directions Off Hwy 61, ½ to 1 mile south of the west and east exits from Highway 61 in the village of Grand Portage
