Celebrate community, music, craft and storytelling along the lakeshore at our classic Fall celebration.

Friday night will feature the Birch Bark Bash fundraising celebration with a dinner that explores the northern landscape provided by chefs Judi Barsness and Scott Graden, followed by our guest speaker, Carol Sauvion of PBS’ Craft in America.

For this year’s Saturday night concert, we are very excited to welcome:
– Special Guest: Detroit-based roots & blues musician and 2018 Kresge Arts Fellow Reverend Robert Jones .
– Seven Featured Performers: Claudia Schmidt, Prudence Johnson, Dan Chouinard, Marc Anderson, Simone Perrin, Dane Stauffer, and Bradley Greenwald.
– Host & Storyteller: Our good friend, Kevin Kling.

It will be an unforgettable evening of performances. We hope you can join us!

Harbor History Tour

Cook County Historical Society offers Harbor History tours every Saturday throughout the summer beginning at 1 pm. The tour begins at the museum and features visible relics of the past and stories of this small harbor and community. The tours last approximately one hour and are weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

JThere are few things on the planet as mysterious as bats! Learn about the behavior habits of those nighttime creatures of the Superior National Forest. Peg Robertsen, Acting Forest Wildlife Biologist/Program Manager with the Superior National Forest Service, has been involved in bat monitoring and research on the forest due to white-nose syndrome.

All presentations are family friendly and free to the public.
